There are two ways you can access info on outlets......................

The Flash file [141 revolving] gives you instant access to the regions through a map of New Zealand. Just follow your nose......

Below that are links to each region - click on what you want and all the outlets become available. Use the links for more detail......

One for One [New-for Old] Exchange Is Here

All dedicated needle exchanges, many pharmacies and alternate outlets now offer a FREE 141 exchange service.
This currently operates on a new-for-old [one-for-one] basis.
Clients may exchange any barrel sizes, only a 3ml barrel and any size needle gague, (excluding piercing needles), are available via 141 exchange.
For every used 'unit' [barrel & pic] you can get a 3ml barrel & pic for free.

Check the outlet list - all outlets participating in "141" will be identified.
Also all participating outlets have a window sticker at their entrance saying "1-4-1" [next to the NEP arrows].
The normal retail distribution of needles & syringes [user pays] still operates.

NEP outlets are designated by:

Level One
These outlets sell only 10 packs' which contain:10 x 3ml syringes and 26 gauge needles, a returns container, and swabs.

Level Two
These outlets sell single fits as well as 'packs'.
They can stock a range of syringes, along with filters, water, and other equipment.
They may not have what you require, but can order in equipment if asked.

NEP Outlets are categorised by type:

Needle Exchanges
Sell a wide range of equipment including avariety of syringe and needle sizes, filters, water, butterflies, etc.
They also usually employ staff who are knowledgeable about drug use and so can offer detailed advice and referrals to other health services.

Pharmacies

Over 175 pharmacies throughout NZ participate in the NEP.
They provide an important part of the NEP coverage in the regions by increasing accessibility and availability in towns and cities that are not supplied via a dedicated exchange.
Make sure you know whether they are Level 1 or Level 2 so you can ask for equipment with no hassles or confusion.
Alternate Outlets
Other health based services may also offer needle exchange, for example Sexual Health Centres, NZ Prostitutes' Collective or Community Health Centres.
